Kristen Wagner hangs on to win the Minnesota (MGA) Women's Mid-Amateur Championship over defending champion Leigh Klasse

LAKEVILLE, MN (June 6, 2012) -- Kristen Wagner hung on to win the Minnesota Women's Mid- Amateur Championship by a single stroke over defending champion Leigh Klasse. Wagner bogeyed three of the last four holes but still posted a 75 for the day, which matched Klasse for the low round of the day and the tournament.

Klasse signed for scores of 77-75-152 while Wagner carded 76-75--151.

Kara Salava was third with scores of 77-77--154.

About the Minnesota Women's Mid-Amateur

36-hole stroke play championship. Entries are open to any female amateur golfer who is at least 25 years old as of the start of the tournament and is currently an Associate Member of the MGA. There are no handicap index requirements for this tourname...
