Tennessee Women's Senior: Durham maintains lead
SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2011) -- Debbie Durham, local from Signal Mountain, who was tied forthe lead after the first round, carded a second round 81 for a two-day total of157. That was enough to hang onto the lead for a second day. Not far behindDurham is defending champion, Maggie Scott and 2009 champion GeorgiaMcCravey (Chattanooga), both with two-day totals of 160, three shots back.
The course played longer, and tougher for the championship field today, and thescores reflected the changes to the course. Scores were on the rise as thetemperature fell throughout the afternoon on top of the mountain.
Play begins tomorrow for the final round with a shotgun start at 9 AM. Afterround three, the 2011 Women’s Senior Amateur Champion will be crowned atSignal Mountain Golf and Country Club.

Tennessee Women's Senior & Mid-Am
Participants in the Tennessee Senior Women's
Amateur must be at least 50 years of age.
Participants in
the Tennessee Women's Mid-Amateur must be at
least 21 years of age and not enrolled in
undergraduate collegiate courses and/or competing
on a collegiate golf team.
Open to female amateur golfers with the following
requirements (1) meet the USGA policy on
transgender individuals and (2) have an active
USGA/GHIN Handicap Index from a TGA member
club or
course. Handicap Index limit is 36.0.
Format: Play will be contested at 36-holes of stroke
play (this includes the first 18-hole qualifying
round).
Qualifying Round: The first round of stroke play will
be the qualifying round. After all qualifying scores
are posted, the field
will be divided into flights with all like scores in the
same flight--the number of flights will be determined
by the total
number of participants.
