Perry/Free take titles at the Oxnard City Am

OXNARD, CALIF. (July 18, 2011) - Amateurgolf.com member Jack Perry and cruised to a six-stroke victory yesterday with a round of 73 at the Oxnard City Championship at River Ridge Golf Club. On Saturday, Perry lit up the course with a brilliant 68 that included a water ball on the 18th hole.
Simi Valley resident Casey Piper shot rounds of 70-77—147 to tied for second with Andrew Perez, Oxnard, who carded 73-74—147
In the Senior Division, amateurgolf.com member Matt Free, Santa Barbara, edged out Bob Rensel from Bakersfield with scores of 74-72—146. Rensel was the first round leader by three shots with a round of 70, but Sunday’s 77 put him at 147, one shot behind Free and alone in second place.
Mike Knight from Oxnard carded 76-72—148 to take solo third.
