Grillo wins Terra Cotta Invitational
Naples, FL - Emiliano Grillo, an 18-year old from Argentina, currently attending the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida shot a solid 3-under 69 to win the 16th Terra Cotta Invitational by one shot over Patrick Rodgers, 18, from Avon, IN.
Grillo held a three shot lead late in the round but Rodgers reached the green in two and made birdie on the par-5 18th to close within two. Grillo bogeyed 18, but it was good enough for the win.
His final score of 12-under par set a new tournament record. The previous record of 11-under was shot by Peter Uihlein while winning in 2007.
