Grillo leads Terra Cotta Invitational
NAPLES, Fla. (April 9, 2011) -- Emiliano Grillo, an 18 year-old from Argentina, shot a sparkling 67 in perfect weather Saturday to take the 2nd round lead of the prestigious Terra Cotta Invitational at 9-under 135.
One shot back, after a 3-under 69, is 32 year-old Nick Gilliam, former professional and winner of the 2001 NCAA Division I Individual National Championship while a member of the Florida Gators. Close on their heels are Patrick Reed, from Augusta, GA (a member of the reigning NCAA Div I National Champion Augusta State Jaguars) and Patrick Rodgers from Avon, Indiana (an AJGA star who will be attending Stanford in the fall).
