Kendall Todd pulls away from the field to win Women's Porter Cup

Kendall Todd shot rounds of 71-68-69-67 to get to 5-under and win the 2024 Women's Porter Cup at Niagara Country Club in Lewiston, N.Y.
Todd saved her best for last, firing a bogey-free 3-under 67 to get to 5-under and defeat Nicole Gal, who finished in solo second place at 3-under. Gal was the 54-hole leader at 4-under, but a final round 1-over 71 saw Todd pass her on the leaderboard.
Gal carded rounds of 72-69-65-71 to get to 3-under total. Todd and Gal were the only two golfers to finish under par for the championship.
Amelie Phung finished in solo third place at 1-over, and Vanessa Gilly and Ashley Chow finished T4 at 6-over to round out the top five. 2023 Women's Porter Cup Sarah Gallagher finished in solo sixth place at 9-over.
Todd is currently ranked No. 116 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
Todd, a rising senior at Arkansas, has had a great collegiate career thus far, ranking fifth in scoring average (72.73) and eleventh in finish percentage (69.4%)
As a junior at Arkansas, Todd was the runner-up at The Bruzzy, led the team in stroke play at the SEC Championship with a 2-over 212, and recorded a tie for sixth at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional Championship with a 1-under 215, which was highlighted by a career-low 66 in the second round.
She ended the season in the top 20 with a tie for 19th with a 4-over 292 at the NCAA Championship.
Gal has had a solid summer, finishing T5 at the Sea Island Women's Amateur after holding a share of the first round lead.
The Women's Porter Cup is the sister event to The Porter Cup, one of the premier amateur events in the nation.
Starting in 2023, the men's and women's Porter Cup championships will run concurrently. Currently, there are 54 players in each field and alternating tee times.
