Haag adds another win to his illustrious resume, winning the 40th annual National Senior Hall of Fame

There is not much Randy Haag of Orinda, Calif., hasn't accomplished on the Senior amateur golf circuit.

After winning the Society of Senior Masters earlier this year, Haag finishes on top of the leaderboard at the National Senior Hall of Fame at Willow Creek Course at High Point Country Club in High Point, N.C.

Haag was the lone golfer to finish under par, shooting 1-under and winning the Senior Division by three shots. Chris Hall of Acworth, Ga., finished in solo second place at 1-over. Robert Sheats of Atlanta, Ga., finished in solo third place at 2-over, Daniel Neveu of Pinehurst, N.C., finished in solo fourth place at 4-over, and Michael Arasin of Auburn, Ala., finished in solo fifth place at 5-over.

The Northern California Golf Association Hall of Famer carded rounds of

Haag is ranked No. 9 in the AmateurGolf.com Senior Rankings and No. 2 in the AmateurGolf.com Super Senior Rankings

In the Super Senior Division, Gary Robinson of Fayetteville, N.C., finished 2-over and won by five shots over Todd Brown of Winston Salem, N.C., who finished in solo second place at 7-over.

Brown shot rounds of 67-74-77 to secure the wire-to-wire win with the impressive 5-under 67 first-round.

Keith Waters of Raleigh, N.C., finished in solo third place at 8-over. Stephen Fox of Pinehurst, N.C., and James Starnes of Fort Meyers, Fla., finished T4 at 10-over.

In the Legends Division, Don Donatoni of Westchester, Pa., finished 5-over to win by five shots over Jerry Horton of Wilmington, N.C.

The 54-hole invitational, started in honor of Dale Morey (a member at Willow Creek), typically draws one of the strongest fields of the year. The tournament organizers desire to create and maintain a true and meaningful Hall of Fame that recognizes the best in amateur golf of national and international acclaim.

Their list of previous inductees and champions attests to our success in these efforts. Most have won either the U.S. or the British Senior Amateur Championship or innumerable other prestigious championships such as the U.S. Amateur.
