Bank of Tennessee: East Tennessee State wins in runaway fashion

East Tennessee State was able to defend its home turf, winning the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate by 12 shots and finishing 27-under.
Charlotte finished in second place at 15-under, and Toledo and Augusta finished T3 at 2-under.
ETSU, winners in 2018 and 2021, entered the day with a three-shot lead and used the final round to run away from the field.
ETSU shot 14-under 274 in the final round, marking the second straight day they posted the low round.
Mats Ege of East Tennessee State won the individual title, shooting 16-under to beat his teammate Algot Kleen by five shots. Kleen finished in solo second place at 11-under.
Ege, who captured his third collegiate win, started with his historic round on Sunday and was never caught. Ege fired a tournament, course, and school record 10-under 62 in round one.
Ege missed tying the overall tournament record by one shot. Ege finished the tournament with 18 birdies.
Overall, Ege and Kleen combined to shoot 27-under with 33 birdies for the tournament. Ege led the field in par-4 scoring at 6-under, and par-5 scoring at 11-under.
Kleen was second in par-3 scoring at 3-under, and par-5 scoring at 8-under.
Conor Gough of Charlotte and Joe Sullivan of Florida Gulf Coast finished T3 at 5-under.
