Folds of Honor Collegiate: Notre Dame wins the team title

Notre Dame shot a team score of 282 in the final round to jump over Michigan State and take home the win to open the season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich.
Leading the way for Notre Dame was Angelo Marcon, who shot a final round 2-under 69 and finished T2. Jacob Modleski shot a final round even par 71 to finish T16, Rocco Salvitti shot a final round 1-under 70 to finish T24, and Palmer Jackson and Nate Stevens both finished T30.
Notre Dame was the only team with all five golfers finishing in the top 30 individually.
Michigan State finished in second place, Arkansas finished in third place, South Carolina finished in fourth place, and Arizona finished in fifth place.
In the individual competition,
Cecil Belisle finished in solo first place after shooting a 1-over 72 in the final round. Belisle finished 1-under for the tournament and was the only golfer to finish under par.

Belisle birdied the par-5 No. 18 to secure the win.
There was a big pack of golfers that finished one shot right behind Belisle.
Finishing at even par total and tied for second place were Nick Mathews of NC State, Jack Tanner of Memphis, Angelo Marcon of Notre Dame, and Alex Goff of Kentucky. Mathews led the tournament after rounds one and two, but a final round 5-over 76 allowed Belisle to take medalist honors.
Mathews finished with rounds of 67-70-76.
