Sullivan rolls to second Pasadena City Senior title
If the extreme heat plaguing Southern California bothered the players at the Pasadena City Senior Championship, it didn't show in the scores.

Red numbers were common at Brookside Golf Club, despite the heat wave and the approaching tropical storm that kicked up the humidity and the wind.

On Friday, Dan Sullivan of Pasadena lifted his second Pasadena City Senior trophy -- his fourth Pasadena title overall -- by pulling away from the field with a final-round 6-under 66 on the C.W. Koiner Course.

Sullivan opened the tournament with a 5-under 67 on the E.O. Nay Course -- including two eagles in a three hole stretch -- to take a two-shot lead over Brian Smyth of Dove Canyon and Michael Dlugos of El Prado. But Sullivan essentially put the tournament away with four birdies in his first six holes, eventually cruising to an 8-shot win.

Sullivan won the Pasadena City Championship in 2014 and 2016, and added the Senior City in 2017.

Sullivan's total of 11 under par was eight ahead of Smyth and Jerry Dufour, who finished tied at 3 under. Greg Edwards and Patrick Carrigan tied for fourth at 2 under.

The Net Flight winners were:

A Flight: Shane Nolan, B Flight: Maurice Choi, C Flight: Carlos Casanova, D Flight: J Carlo Mejia, E Flight: Kenneth Song
