Wyatt Plattner wins 50th Southern Junior Championship
Wyatt Plattner of Sarasota, Fla. posted a final-round 3-under 67 to claim the 50th Southern Junior Championship title at the Country Club of Charleston on Friday.
With a 9-under 201 total, the University of Cincinnati-bound Plattner finished three shots ahead of Kale Fontenot of Lafayette, La., Maxmilian Jelinek of Port St Lucie, Fla. and Smith Summerlin of Raleigh, NC, who all tied for second with a six-under 204 score.
Plattner, who entered the final round tied with Summerlin and Ethan Paschal at 6-under 134, posted six birdies on his Friday card en route to a 67, resulting in a three-shot victory.
