Hoffman scores nine-shot win at SoCal Senior Women's
SOLVANG, Calif. (February 26, 2019) - In quite the fashion, Escondido's Jamie Hoffmann certainly stayed warm during this winter at the SCGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship in Solvang. Taking the trophy from last years champ and 2018 SCGA Senior Women's Player of the Year, Kathy Kurata, Hoffmann became the champion with a blistering nine strokes to spare.
Hoffmann fired a strong 1-under par 71 to start out the tournament, and kept it together during round two, finishing with a comfortable 75. Her rounds of 71 and 75 were the two lowest rounds of the tournament.
To round out the top five, Kurata finished in second (10-over,) Corey Weworski in third (12-over,) with Nanette Seman Suzie Young sharing T4 (15-over.)
