Baylor extends Linger Longer Invitational Advantage

EATONTON, GA (March 20, 2017) -- No. 14 Baylor will be hard to beat this week at the Linger Longer Invitational. Under warm temperatures and sunny skies the Bears continued to tear apart the Great Waters Golf Course and at 26-under they are 17 shots in front of second place Alabama and No. 2 Virginia.
Through 36-holes Baylor has been led by four top-13 performers. Leading the way for the Bears have been Braden Bailey and Matthew Perrine, both of whom are tied for third at 8-under. On each of the first two days Bailey and Perrine have turned in rounds of 69-67.
Baylor's Cooper Dossey is in a tie for eighth place at 6-under while Garrett May is tied for 13th at 4-under.
Moving over to the individual race the 36-hole pace setter is Greyson Sigg of Georgia. Sigg moved his score to 12-under with the round of the tournament, a 7-under 65.
On Monday Sigg turned in a flawless round of golf with seven birdies, three on the front and four on the back. His best stretch of golf came from Nos. 6-12 when he birdied four-times.
Chris Guglielmo of Kennesaw State is in second place at 9-under while Bailey, Perrine, UNCG's Bryce Hendrix and Troy's Luke Moser share third at 8-under.
Virginia and Alabama are tied for second with 9-under tallies, Troy is in fourth at 8-under and UNCG at 6-under resides in fifth place.
