SEAL BEACH, CA (February 28, 2017) -- San Jose State eased their way to an 11 shot victory at the The Gold Rush hosted by the Old Ranch Country Club. The victory was the second of the season for San Jose State and also their second by double-digits.

My Leander finished 9-under and led the Spartans throughout the tournament with three consecutive 3-under 69's. Abegail Arevalo also turned in a top-10 performance by placing tied for seventh at 3-over.

The medalist title went to Sophie Hausmann of Idaho. Hausmann, 12-under, fired a final round 7-under 65 and got off to a blazing final round start. Teeing off on No. 10, Hausmann birdied five of her first eight holes and then after an 18th hole bogey rolled in an additional birdie on the 1st before completing her scoring with an eagle on the par-5 6th.

BYU (+16) finished second, Idaho (+19) was third, Long Beach State (+28) ended up fourth while Gonzaga (+28) placed fifth.
