With a final round 6-under 64 the duo of John Hunter and Kyle Nathan captured the 54th John R. Williams Four-Ball Invitational

ROCHESTER, NY (September 17, 2016) -- With a final round 6-under 64 the duo of John Hunter and Kyle Nathan captured the 54th John R. Williams Four-Ball Invitational. Hunter (Houston, TX) and Nathan (Glenview, IL) finished 14-under to win by a comfortable seven-strokes at Oak Hill Country Club on the famed East Course. After the first round on the West Course, Hunter and Nathan were 5-under and two-strokes behind in a tie for third place. On Friday play shifted to the East Course and with a 4-under 66 the winning duo moved into first place. The 64 during Saturday's final round was the low round of the day. Eric Rustand (Tucson, AZ) and Clark Rustand (Tucson, AZ) shared second place with Billy Hanes (Elma, NY) and Billy Gaffney (Williamsvill, NY) at 7-under. First round leaders Michael Carrig (Buffalo, NY) and Brian Kumiega (Buffalo, NY) finished 4-under and in fourth place. The top-five was rounded out by Chris McCuaig (Ottawa) and Pat Lindsay (Ontario) who finished 2-under. SENIOR DIVISION In the Senior Division Oak Hill members Tom Blank and Mark Dugan survived a three-team playoff to hoist the trophy. Blank and Dugan finished 4-under and tied at the end of regulation with James McCord (Tullahoma, TN) and John McCord (Tullahoma, TN); Mark Chylinski (Pittsfield, MA) and Jim Mueller (Altamont, NY). The eventual champions reached the top of the leaderboard thanks to rounds of 69-73-67. Jim Quinn (Arlington, TX ) and Don Gafner (Sunnyvale, TX) were fourth at 2-under while 36-hole leaders George Kavanagh (Rochester, NY) and Matt Clarke (Loudonville, NY) were even-par and in fifth.
