Doug Hanzel wins National Senior Hall of Fame

HIGH POINT, NC (June 17, 2016) -- Doug Hanzel has played five ranking events this year and he now has three victories. On Friday Hanzel shot a final round 1-over 73 to finish 8-under and win the National Senior Hall of Fame championship at Willow Creek Course at High Point Country Club.
Hanzel, the second ranked senior in the country put together rounds of 69-66-73 and finished two clear of Keith Decker who was 6-under for the week. Decker, who is the sixth ranked senior in the nation, tallied 54-hole scores of 68-71-71.
So far this year Hanzel has also won the Florida Azalea Senior and Timuquana Cup Senior titles. Hanzel is well on his way to matching his five win total from a year ago.
Hanzel and Decker were the only two players to finish under-par for the week. Walter Todd (+3) was third while Rick Cloninger (+4) and Paul Simson (+4) were tied for fourth.
