Paniccia leads Fresno City

FRESNO, Calif. (May 28, 2016) -- Fresno native Jason Higton leads the Fresno City Championship by one shot after back-to-back rounds of 2-under 70.
Higton's round included six birdies four of which came consecutively on holes 16 through 1 (started on 10). Higton will need more birdies tomorrow as he looks to fend of Colby Thomason and Rich Gilkey who sit a 3-under par and tied for 2nd.
The final round is set to begin a 7am local time Monday.

First round results for the Fresno city championship are now available.
The 54 hole championship kicked off today at Riverside golf course with Danny Paniccia opening with a 69 to take a one-shot lead over a trio of players.
Paniccia won the tournament three straight years from 2010 through 2012.
