David Ujihara captures SCGA Senior Club Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2014) — Playing the Dye Course at The Westin Mission Hills, Los Coyotes Country Club club champion David Ujihara of Brea shot 67 on Monday to win the Southern California Senior Club Championship by two.
His two-shot win came over David Westerfield of Stockdale Country Club in Bakersfield. Westerfield shot 69 and was the only player other than Ujihara to finish the 18-hole event under par.
Mike Selwood and Kenneth Forster shot even-par 70 and tied for third place.

SCGA Senior Tournament of Club Champions
Senior men’s club champions, age 55 and over, are
invited to play in this 18-hole event. The senior club
champion must have a Handicap Index of 5.4 or
below as of the date of registration. They must be an
amateur member in good standing with the SCGA
and a member on the club’s active SCGA roster at
the time they won the championship. This Division
will compete without handicaps. Senior men’s club
champions with a Handicap Index of 5.5 and above
will play in the net divisions. Senior men’s club
champions that have not reached their 55th birthday
by the date of the championship are not eligible for
this Division.
