Ryan Smith leads Dunes Medal by stroke after day one
RYE, Australia (Nov. 25, 2014) — Day one of the 72-hole Dunes Medal had Ryan Smith of Australia leading by one stroke over five players at 71, including Paul Bucan and Shae Wools-Cobb.
Charlie Dann, Matthew Scarfone, and Dale Williamson also shot 71 and are just one stroke behind with 54 holes still to play.
Five other players, including Simon Viitakangas, are two back at 72. Overall, 41 players are within five shots of the lead.
