Coburn leads by nine at Southern California Public Links
OXNARD, Calif. (August 23, 2014) — Jeff Coburn Rancho Santa Margarita is leaving no doubt who the best Public Links player is in this year's Southern California Public Links Championship.
Last year's winner shot 64 on Saturday to catapult himself into the lead after two rounds. Coburn was one shot back of Alex Romo after a first-round 69. Romo shot 75 on Saturday, dropping back into a tie for fifth place.
Three players are tied for second place at two-under, including Joshua Shou, Clayton Yamaguchi, and Tim Hogarth.

PLGA Amateur Championship, which started in 1968.
This Championship is open to amateurs who are
members of the SCGA who have a current Handicap
Index of 5.4 or below at the time of registration.
Players who are listed on a private or semi-private
club’s member roster are ineligible.
