Scott Scheffler wows in PGA Tour debut

Scheffler, 17, shot 3 rounds in the 60s and had a hole-in-one at the HP Byron Nelson
Three rounds in the 60s.
A hole-in-one.
A Top 25 finish.
Not a bad debut for Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler, the reigning U.S. Junior Champion, sure made the most of his sponsor exemption into the HP Byron Nelson Classic. The 17-year-old Dallas resident shot 71-68-69-68 in his first PGA Tour event to tie for 22nd.
A wrap up of his impressive weekend, of course, wouldn't be complete, of course, without mentioning the ace he had on the par-3 2nd on Saturday.
Sunday, however, may have been his best round to date. He made four birdies en route to a 2-under 68. On a Sunday. In a PGA Tour event.
Not bad for the 17-year-old Scheffler, who's ranked No. 1 in Golfweek's Junior Boys Rankings.
Scheffler, who took fourth place at the Terra Cotta earlier this year and most recently won the prestigious Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, has committed to play at the University of Texas next year.
