SOS Masters: Hudson, Smith claim titles

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (April 10, 2014) -- Steve Hudson of Birmingham, Ala. shot a final-round 68 to win the 2014 Society of Seniors Senior Masters at Indian Wells Golf Resort.
Hudson entered the final round with a share of the lead with Kip Estep. His closing 68 bested the 72 Estep was able to put together, leaving plenty of room between Hudson and the rest of the leaderboard.
Estep ultimately finished solo second thanks to rounds of 73-69-72. Chris Maletis of Portland, ore. shot three straight 72s to finiah alone in third.
In the Super Senior Division, Ted Smith held on for the title. He went into the final round with a big lead but shot 74 to close. He managed to hang on, though, withstanding a final-round 71 from Bruce Richards.
Jerry Greenbaum shot 76-71-72 to take solo third.
