Rodgers, Stanford hold lead at The Goodwin
PALO ALTO, Calif. (March 29, 2014) -- Stanford junior Patrick Rodgers shot 1-under 69 Saturday at Stanford (Calif.) Golf Course to keep his lead at The Goodwin.
Rodgers, who announced earlier this spring that he plans to turn pro after the NCAA Championship, is searching for his ninth career collegiate title and fourth victory of the season. He is 8 under overall and leads USC freshman Rico Hoey and Stanford freshman Maverick McNealy by three shots.
The Cardinal shot 1-over 281 as a team in the second round, but at 11 under, they still hold a six-shot lead over second-place UCLA. Oregon (2 under), Washington (1 under) and USC (3 over) round out the top five teams.
