Lined Lamb’s Wool Sweaters, the
sweater will actually become more water-
repellent and better looking as it ages.
The Scottish developers of this product at
PROQUIP, LTD speak about the “75
revitalizations” that are available per sweater
by carefully following their care
instructions and a few “insider tips” as well.
• First, you must select a Woolmark approved detergent and not use any fabric conditioner.
• Machine wash on a warm cycle (about 100 degrees F) after turning the sweater inside out. Be sure to wash the sweater with other garments of similar color.
• Rinse thoroughly on a short spin cycle and
tumble dry.
• Remove from your dryer while still a little damp and block back into shape.
• Turn the sweater to have the correct side facing out now and use a hot iron (about 300 degrees F) to iron the outside surface.
The ironing will actually seal any fibers that were frayed during daily wear and make the sweater better looking and more water resistant than it was before washing.
Please enjoy this wonderful garment that will keep the cold and wind and moisture (to a reasonable extent) away from your core during those early Spring or late Fall days.
