The 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship begins Saturday, Oct. 5 at Country Club of Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 1, 2013) – The United
States Golf Association (USGA) today
announced
groupings and starting times for the first two
rounds of the 2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur
Championship, Saturday (Oct. 5) and Sunday
(Oct. 6), at the 7,173-yard, par-71 Country
Club
of Birmingham (West Course) and the 6,471-
yard, par-70 Country Club of Birmingham (East
Course).
The U.S. Mid-Amateur consists of 36 holes of stroke play on Oct. 5 and 6, after which the 264-player field will be reduced to the low 64 scorers. There will be six rounds of match play at the Country Club of Birmingham’s West Course, starting Oct. 7. The quarterfinals and semifinals are slated for Oct. 9. The championship is scheduled to conclude with a 36-hole final on Thursday, Oct. 10, starting at 7 a.m. CDT.
