Chadd Slutzky fired rounds of 64-67--131 to win by two shots at the Illinois Amateur Invitational held at Schaumberg Golf Club
SCHAUMBERG, Ill. (Aug. 11, 2013) -- Chadd Slutzky fired rounds of 64-67--131 to win by two shots at the Illinois Amateur Invitational held at Schaumberg Golf Club.
Slutzky raced out to an early advantage, shooting 64 on Saturday. He took a two-shot lead over Stephen Kois into Sunday's final round. Kois shot 72 to finish tied for fourth but Kyle Nathan and Daniel Stringfellow both carded 65s to make things interesting as play concluded.
In the end, though, no one was able to catch Slutzky.
NAthan took second place after a 68-65--133 effort. Stringfellow's 65 came after an opening-round 69, which put him alone in third place.
