The popular SM9 model has a custom-etching that no U.S. or European fan will be able to resist.

If you’ve ever wandered over to Titleist’s Vokey WedgeWorks you’ll know how much fun it can be. In the blink of an eye, you’ll kill an hour customizing different laser etching designs as well as grips, shafts, ferrules, and paintfills. And when a limited edition design hits WedgeWorks it’s typically gone before you know it.

Just as we’re gearing up for the Ryder Cup, Titleist has dropped U.S. and European flag laser-etched designs which are available now through October 13. This custom option is available on the Vokey SM9 model. I think Vokey hit a patriotic homerun with these designs as both flags are proudly visible but don’t overtake the entirety of the wedge.

Not only are these wedges available to the public, but Master Craftsman Bob Vokey and tour rep Aaron Dill will be delivering them to Vokey wedge players on both Ryder Cup teams. Chances are likely that we’ll see the likes of Open Champion, Brian Harman, and U.S. Open champ, Wyndham Clark, gaming these at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome.

In typical Vokey fashion, no detail is overlooked as both models include custom shaft bands to match the team you’ve chosen.

There’s a reason why Vokey wedges are played by many tour pros who are not under contract with Titleist, and that’s simply performance. Since its inception in 1999, Vokey has been the gold standard for wedge design and accounts for the most played models on tour. The SM9 is currently offered in seven different grind options (F, S, M, K, L, D, and T) in addition to loft and bounce options to tailor your wedges to your game.

If you’d like to learn more about which Vokey spec fits you best, Titleist offers an incredibly convenient Wedge Selector Tool that will go through your game and playing conditions to find the right tool for the job.

If you’re interested in the U.S. and European engraved Vokey models they will run you $199 each, but make sure you get them before they’re history. For more information visit Vokey.com.
