About
I am 25 years old and I live in Austin, TX. I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved out here for school. My family is spread out all over the country, with my parents in Wyoming, brother in California, and sister in Colorado. Visiting them gives me the opportunity to play golf all over. I am graduating from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2011. I plan on staying in Austin after graduating. The city is great and the amount of quality golf courses in the area will keep me busy for a very long time. I have played competitive golf since I was in 6th grade. I only played golf for a year in college, but continued to play in whatever amateur tournaments I could find. Amateurgolf.com was a huge help for me in finding tournaments in the Austin area.

Personal
Interests
Other than golf, I have an interest in music. I live in Austin, which has an amazing live music scene. I started going to concerts when I lived in Albuquerque but after moving here, is has almost become an obsession. I have probably been to hundreds of concerts in the past 10 years or so. I took up the guitar a few years ago as well, and even though I am not very good I enjoy playing. Another interest of mine is fishing. I have been fly fishing my entire life and it is one of my favorite things to do. On top of that I enjoy occasionally playing other sports and hanging out with my friends and family.
Greatest Golf Moment
The greatest golf moment for me was when I won the New Mexico AAA state golf tournament in 2003. I was a sophomore at the time and was unable to play in state the year before because I broke my ankle two days before the tournament started. I made it my goal to not only get to state, but to win it the next year. It was the best feeling to set this goal, work hard at it, and accomplish it.
Holes in One
1 hole-in-one • I made my one and only hole-in-one on the 8th hole at Ladera Golf Course in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was in a high school tournament so it made the shot that much more memorable.
High School
I played for Sandia Preparatory School from 8th grade all the way through 12th grade.
