Cameron Young takes Hochster Memorial
SCARSDALE, NY (June 15, 2012) -- Cameron Young shot 5-over 145 (72-73) to win the 75th Hochster Memorial Tournament at Quaker Ridge GC in Scarsdale, N.Y on June 12. The Hochster consists of 36 holes of stroke play and features the top amateur golfers in the Metropolitan Area.
Young, who plays out of Sleepy Hollow CC, won the tournament by two strokes. Matthew Lose of Colonial Springs and Tommy McDonagh of Shorehaven GC tied for second at 7-over 147, each going 76-71 and 74-73, respectively.
Pat Wilson of Panther Valley CC and David Szewczul of Tunxis Plantation CC tied for fourth at 10-over 150 (73-77 and 71-79, respectively).

ABOUT THE Hochster Memorial
One day, 36 hole invitational played at Quaker Ridge
in honor of William Rice Hochster – a founding
member of the club and its first president. It was
Hochster who hired A.W. Tillinghast -- then little-
known in design circles -- to design the course. The
tournament's past champions list includes Frank
Strafaci, Willie Turnesa, and Jess Sweetser, as well
as
Dick Siderowf. More recently U.S. Mid-Am winners
George Zahringer, and Ken Bakst have claimed
multiple Hochster titles.
