Brad Wilder takes lead at Azalea
CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 30, 2012) --
Brad WIlder leads the
loaded field at the 2012 Azalea
Invitational at the Country Club
of Charleston.
Wilder, who was tied for the lead after
Round 1, fired a 1-under
70 to take a one-shot lead over Rob
Simmons, Uly Grisette and
Conor Richardson. Simmons had shared
the first-round lead
with Wilder before shooting an even-par
71 Friday.

leaders were able to remain relevant
despite a number of solid
rounds.
Grisette paired a first-round 69 with a 66
Friday while
Richardson went low, firing a 6-under 65
in Round 2.
Nicholas Reach shot 64 Friday and sits in a
sixth-place tie along
with three other players, including Michael
Cromie, who shot 66
in the second round.
Three-time U.S. Mid-Am champion and
2005 Azalea winner
Nathan Smith moved up to a tie for 17th
after shooting a
second-round 69.
Wales native Rhys Enoch followed up a
tough first round with a
two-under 69 and is tied for 38th.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback, who played
with Tiger Woods in
the recent Pebble Beach Pro Am improved
on his opening-round
77 with a 1-over 72.
Play continues with the third round
beginning Saturday
morning.
