Powers/Germain's 63 Propels them to victory at the Palm Beach Spring Four-Ball Championship

Palm Beach, Fla. (March 18, 2012) -- John Powers & Danny Germaine shot a final round 63 for a two day total of 126 to win the Open Division of this year's Spring Four Ball Championship at The Fountains CC.
Powers & Germaine teamed up for 8 birdies each round to win by 6 shots. Finishing second with rounds of 65-67--132 were Deron Zendt & Steve Bernard. Steve Anderson & Pete Williams finished third at 65-68--133.
Dave Kartner & Pat Vincelli teamed up to win the Senior Division with rounds of 67-66--133. Kartner's birdie on the last hole secured the victory by one over Lenny Loyd & Robbie Dew (65-69--134) and Rick Woulfe & Robert Ethridge (66-68--134).
“We played pretty steady all day today,” said Kartner, who totaled four birdies, three the final round. “It got pretty breezy out there with a couple of showers.” Vincelli, who summers in Michigan, made three birdies Saturday and two Sunday.
Terry Louis & Vic Gerard won the Open Net Division with rounds of 61-64--125. Mark Sasser & David Alexander finished second at 67-62--129.
