New Year's Invitational: Second Round Results
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Jan. 4, 2008)-- Hudson Johnson was once again tied for the lead at the New Year's Invitational, held at the St. Petersburg Country Club, but this time it was Bryce Ledford joining him at 2-under-par 142 after two days of play.
Doug Root opened up a six-stroke lead in the senior division after carding a second-day score of even-par 72.

on the Lakewood golf course in 1927. This
same
amateur invitational tournament -- which
attracts
top Florida amateurs and a strong group of out-of-
state players as well --

unbroken, each year although the club

later changed to St. Petersburg Country
Club.
