PALM CITY, FL (December 7, 2017) - Rick Woulfe (Fort Lauderdale, FL) won his second Society of Seniors (SOS) Ralph Bogart Tournament in the last four years, shooting a final-round 72 to win by a single shot over Allen Peake (Macon, GA) at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club.

Woulfe started the final round in a three-way tie for the lead with Peake and Keith Decker (Martinsville, VA) at one over par. He and Decker traded the lead for the first ten holes, but Woulfe moved two ahead when Decker bogeyed the 11th and 13th holes.

Peake birdied the 15th and 16th holes to get within one shot, and when Woulfe bogeyed the 17th, the two were tied. But Peake bogeyed the par-five 18th to leave Woulfe on top. Decker also had a chance on the 18th, needing a birdie to tie Woulfe, but he too made bogey and finished solo third, two shots back.

Woulfe is no stranger to tight finishes in this tournament. He last won the Bogart in 2014, again winning by one shot over Doug Pool of Las Vegas. He also won in 2006 in a playoff.

Mark Knecht (Estero, FL) made two birdies and an eagle over his final four holes to finish with a 72 and finish alone in fourth at 5-over 221.

Duke Delcher (Bluffton, SC) and Randy Yoder (Chattanooga, TN) tied for fifth at 9-over 225.

SUPER SENIOR DIVISION

Despite bogeying his final two holes, Joe Hackler (Boynton Beach, FL) cruised to a two-shot win over Tom Elfers (Estero, FL). Starting on the 10th hole, Hackler extended his 36-hole lead from one to two at the turn, and when his closest competitor Bob Allshouse (Greensburg, PA) tripled the 1st hole, the lead was five and the tournament was Hackler's.

Hackler closed with a 73 for a 2-over 218 total. Elfers birdied two holes coming in to take the runner-up spot at 220, Bob Allshouse (Greensburg, PA) shot final-round 76 for a 5-over 221 total and a third-place finish.

Richard Alarid (Santa Fe, NM) had the low final-round, a 71, to move into a tie for fourth with Jim Rollefson at 7-over 223.

GRAND MASTER DIVISION

In the Grand Master Division, Jim DuBois (Coral Springs, FL) posted the round of the day, a 3-under 69, to win by a shot over four players. DuBois bogeyed his first hole of the day but was flawless from there, making four birdies including on his final hole.

Tom Knapp (Tequesta, FL) had a 70 to finish in the tie for second, along with Bill Robischon (Tequesta, FL) who had a 72, Robert Currey (Jupiter, FL) with a 73 and Gary Johnson (Chaska, MN) with a 77.

George Washburn (Frederick, MD) made an eagle and four birdies for a 69 to move into a tie for sixth at 220, along with Don Jeanes (Fairfax, VA) who close with a 72.
