Harrison Rutter holds 36-hole Carolinas Senior Am Lead

LINVILLE, NC (September 20, 2017) - After 36 holes of competition at the 56th Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship, first round leader, Harrison Rutter of Winston-Salem, NC sits alone atop the leader board at six over par, 150. Rutter takes a one shot lead heading into tomorrow’s final round over Walter Todd Sr., of Laurens, SC, Eddie Hargett, of Blythewood, SC, Dean Channell, of Cary, NC and Rick Cloninger of Fort Mill, SC.
As we head into what should be an exciting final round, 13 players are within four shots of the lead. The field was cut to the low 60 scores and ties. 63 players earned a spot in the final round with the cut line falling at 21-over par 165 or better.
Low round of the day honors go to Dave Davis of Asheboro, NC after firing a spectacular one under par, 71.
Tomorrow's final round tee times will begin at 8:00 am off of holes one and ten. The lead group will tee off at 9:40 off the first tee.

Index® at a CGA member club that does not
exceed 9.9.
