HATTIESBURG, MS (July 8, 2017) -- With defending champ Alex Springer absent from this year's Magnolia Amateur, a tightly-loaded leaderboard is ready to battle it out for a place on the trophy.

Heading into Sunday's final round, Kansas State golfer Levi Valadez (from Texas) holds a narrow lead after posting rounds of 66 and 70 at Hattiesburg, Country Club. Valadez has just a single shot of cushion between himself and two players: Colin Troxler and Cecil Wegener.

Troxler plays for Miss. Gulf Coast Community College; Wegener for Ole Miss.
