The Senior Division title went to Chris Landherr
AUSTIN, TX (March 5, 2017) -- Exactly one month after winning the first TXGA Medalist Hill Country event of the season, Jay Reynolds took home the Hill Country #2 title. Reynolds wasn't as sharp on Sunday as he was on Saturday but at 1-over for the tournament he was able to take care of business and win by six-strokes at Onion Creek Club.
Following a 4-under 66 on Saturday, Reynolds posted a 5-over 75 in the final round. Reynolds recorded four birdies on Sunday.
Mark Macejewski (+7) was second, Joe Sanders (+() was third, Jeff Shell (+10) placed fourth while Santiago Castilla (+11) and Jeffry Hoy Sr. (+11) shared fifth.
The Senior Division went to Chris Landherr.
ROUND ONE RECAP
After winning the first TXGA Medalist Hill Country event of the year last month, Jay Reynolds is looking for victory number two at Hill Country #2. Playing at Onion Creek Club, Reynolds is currently 4-under and seven shots clear of the field.
During Saturday's first round 66 Reynolds birdied six-times and bogeyed only twice. The birdies came on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th and 17th holes.
Jeffrey Hoy Sr. at 3-over is in second place while five others are sharing third at 5-over.
The Senior Division is currently being paced by Chris Landherr.
About the Texas Medalist Series - Hill Country

36-hole stroke play competition as part of the TGA Medalist Series, conducted for low- handicap amateurs. To play in a TGA Medalist Series tournament, each player will be required to pay an annual registration fee.
