Azalea Invitational: Third Day Results
Making a bid for his second major tourney win
CHARLESTON, SC (March 31, 2007)-- Luke List, currently sitting atop the amateurgolf.com national points leaderboard with a win at the Jones Cup Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the New Year's Invitationa, made a move to extend his lead Saturday when he fired a 4-under-par 67 to vault into first place with a four-stroke lead.
List opened the tournament with a 1-over 72, but recovered to shoot 9-under over the next two days to take the lead.
Second-day leader Arnond "Bank" Vongvanij 1-over day dropped him into second place along with Billy Horschel.
Three more players, including Webb Simpson, who finished atop the amateurgolf.com national standings, are within five strokes heading into the final day.
