Thanks to everyone who took the 2016 Member
Survey - the information you provided will help us
shape the future of AmateurGolf.com in 2017 and
beyond!
There were seven winners, one of them, Bill
Bonney of Georgia, won a Bettinardi BB1F
putter! It's based on a classic head shape, in
beautiful black with green accents. The BB1F
includes a neck that is ridge-milled and fades right
into the head of the putter itself; allowing for a
conventional smoothed out stroke. Congratulations
Bill, we'll mail your putter on Monday.
Six lucky runners-up won
Champ Player Packs
including the Champ C8 Performance Set of 13 grips,
a gorgeous and sturdy stainless switchblade divot
tool, the latest Pivix spikes, and a pack of FLYtees to
boot. We're even throwing in a pair of Kentwool Tour
socks for good measure. It's the holidays, after all.
By the way, what did we learn from the
survey?
Our members are extremely avid golfer (ok, we
knew that) who first and foremost joined the site
because they want to play in more golf tournaments.
Over 35% of these golfers play 100 or more times
per year, and the large majority carries a handicap
of 5 or less. Facebook is the most common social
network amongst our members.
Items you would like to see us sell include fitted
and adjustable caps, golf shirts, and accessories like
leather headcovers and yardage book covers. You'll
see us partner with some top tier companies in 2017
to bring you these products with a new selection of
logo and catchprase options that our members will
vote on before we make our final selection.
The runner-up winners are:
Ted Bakelis - San Jose, CA
(one of our "early-adoptors")
Richard Rainey - Charlotte, NC
(we love Charlotte - lots of great golf there)
Trent Tessler - San Jose, CA
(he
often partners with Ted in four-balls - must have
been destiny)
Mark Cross - Huntington, WV
(winner of the 2015 West Virginia Senior Am)
Kirk Noyes - The Woodlands,
TX (a former Marine who has completed 4 Ironman
Triathalons - wow!)
Steve Norris - Carmel, IN (it's
not our favorite Carmel, but we like the name
nonetheless)
We will have plenty of opportunities to win in
2017, so stay tuned.
