of the Straight Down Fall Classic. Played college golf at San Jose
State University; quarterfinalist in the 1984 U.S. Amateur.
Turned pro after college and regained amateur status 10 years
later. Two-time winner of the Southern California Four-Ball. His
win over Tiger Woods in the semifinals of the 1994 California
State Amateur was Woods' only match play loss of the summer.
