The Sun Mountain Two 5 - Ours is on Order!
When you're at the top of a market segment, you
can either forge forward with new ideas, or get
caught by the competition. It's obvious that golf bag
and push cart leaders Sun Mountain Sports prefer to
keep in front of the pack, and their upcoming
product, the "Two 5" is sure to be a hit
among the kind of golfer who enjoys the walk.
Two 5 is a full size, dual strap, stand bag that
only weighs 2.5 lbs. Sun
Mountain pioneered the weight breakthrough of a full
size stand bag with their extremely popular 3.5
models, so what can we expect from Two 5? Here
are just a few of the features:
- 8.5 inch top
- 4 full-length club dividers
- A full-length clothing pocket
- multiple accessory pockets
- Ergonomic hip pad
- Solid base
Looking at the bag as a layperson you might
wonder how they can get any lighter.
"Weight savings come from shaving
ounces here and there," explained Sun
Mountain spokesperson Steve Snyders. "And all
of those ounces add up to pounds."
Or, in this case, one key pound. Some of the
areas the Sun Mountain engineers looked at to shave
those key ounces include carbon-fiber legs (in place
of aluminum), a higher-grade and lighter plastic for
the top and base, space-age fabric, lighter zipper,
and a simpler dual strap.
Retail price for the Two 5 will be $229. It hits
stores in May.
