PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Nov. 27, 2014) — Matthew Wolff of Agoura Hills, Calif. squared off with medalist and No. 1 seed Sam Horsfield of Davenport, Fla. in the semifinals, defeating him in 19 holes to advance to the finals where he'll face a fellow Californian and teammate, Spencer Soosman of Westlake Village.

Wolff was three-up through 11 holes before Horsfield, who is originally from the United Kingdom, fought back to push the match to extra holes. Horsfield bogeyed the first playoff hole, however, giving the Westlake High School sophomore the win.

Soosman defeated Forest, Va. senior Zachary Bauchou 3-and-2 on Thursday to punch his ticket into the finals match. Soosman, a junior, also attends Westlake High School.

On the girls side, Sierra Brooks of Sorrento, Fla. will face Lauren Stephenson of Lexington, S.C. in the women's final on Friday.

Stephenson, a senior, beat Alyaa Abdulghany of Newport Beach, Calif. in the semifinals while Brooks, a junior, handed Diamond Bar's Bethany Wu defeat.

Wu, a senior, was medalist this year at the U.S. Women's Amateur.
