DISCOVERY BAY, Hong Kong (Nov. 22, 2014) — While Australian Gordon Claney held the first and second round lead of the Asia-Pacific Senior Amateur, Japan's Shingo Matsumoto made a last-round comeback to force a playoff with New Zealand's Andrew McKechnie.

Claney, who won this year's Australian Senior Amateur, shot two straight 75's after opening with a 69. He held the lead by one shot after the second round before Matsumoto and McKechnie passed him.

McKechnie went 75-71-72 while Matsumoto fired rounds of 73-74-71.
